With a content budget north of $8 billion, we are correspondingly spending $2 billion on marketing to support our growing catalog in more countries & languages. The mission of Netflix’s marketing team is getting people so excited about our content that they sign up and watch.  Our creative marketing team is tackling unique challenges in scaling our marketing operations to match the demands of our increasing catalog. As a member of this team, you’ll help us build out a suite of web applications to manage the massive amount of promotional data that we produce and help the creative marketing teams make better, faster decisions.
 
The Opportunity
In the role of Senior software engineer in Creative Marketing Engineering you will have the opportunity to learn what it takes to launch a campaign around the globe. You will get a chance to collaborate with cross functional technical teams, production managers and UX designers. As part of our team you will work in fast paced agile environment and follow a data driven approach to solving problems. 
As a member of our team you will write high quality test driven code to write cloud based RESTful microservices. You will get the opportunity to innovate in applications which allows users to:
-Collaborate by uploading millions of files and terabytes of data daily in an asset management application.
-Go through an iterative process of reviewing thousands of images and videos which are finally shown in different marketing campaigns. 
-Manage information rights management in different marketing images and video clips.

Required Skills / Experience

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 6+ years of experience.
  • Solid experience with OO languages. Experience in JVM based languages (Java/Kotlin/Scala) is a plus.
  • Experience working with SQL and noSQL data stores. Experience with ORM technologies like Hibernate is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills and willingness to pick up new technologies.
  • Being pragmatic and know how to ship high-value features quickly
  • Quick learner with excellent communication skills
  • Nice to have

  • Knowledge of the digital advertising space and/or the creative production space
  • Prior experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure or other).
  • Experience with Kafka or similar frameworks.
  • Some experience with Javascript technologies
